Guys sorry to be the breaker of bad news but I have heard rumours that Dee Cafari has been dismasted!

I think thats the 6th boat to loose a rig now in this one race?

At least Dees nice shiny new boat has just been launched ready for her return, thats must put a silver lining on things...

yea it begs the thought are the next generation of open 60s going to have really beefy masts that arnt as quick but dont snap all the time to actually be able to finish races!!

No, I think it's only dee who has lost her rig. All the others are in another race.

Yep I totally agree with you. I think its 3 in the Barcelona world race, and 1 in the B2B too and also a keel has failed in the Barcelona race. It's just a little worrying that a very high percentage of these boats are breaking and going wrong.
