There's an old book by Ian Proctor - never read it and don't know if its still in print.  try Amazon.

Your best bet is Dinghy Magazine, they had a maintenance supplement last month (or this).

You can also get advice from the CVDA (wooden boats), Cherub website major projects in carbon / glass, Laser website basic glassfibre repairs.  Class association often have info.

I have recently brought an enterprise that needs a little TLC. All the timber fittings need cleaning up and protecting and the hull has suffered from Sun damage so it is very dull and faded.

For a number of reasons I have not sailed or owned a dinghy for about 15 years and technology has moved on, so I was looking to find out the best up to date methods for dealing with these repairs.

There is an old book called 'Dinghy Building' by Richard Creagh-Osborne, first published in 1963 by Granada Publishing,  Adlard Coles Limited, which covers alot of information which might be useful for restoring an old Enterprise.  The only trouble is that time has moved on, along with many of the boat building/repairing materials, particularly things like glues, epoxies, two pot paints,etc., which are much more efficient than stuff like cascamite which may have been used in the old days. The book might be available somewhere on the internet, particularly second hand.

I'd also recommend Looking After Your Dinghy by Terry Smith, covers both wood and grp boats with good tips on general maintenance as well as small to medium repairs.
