Righto .. While I am fixing the boat, I have decided I'm going to sort the rudder out.

What would people suggest to fill the old hole for the pin thats meant to hold the rudder right down? The current hole has worn itself a bit too big to hold the rudder down, meaning a stupidly heavy helm.

I am going to be redrilling the hole in the right place once it is done, so would it be better if I drilled the old hole out a bit larger than it is ( say, to about 1cm across? ) and then filled that, and drilled the hole into the filler?

Cheers,

James
