please,,,, someone say they're going in a lark with old car tyres nailed to the side, otherwise I'm going to feel very sad about the decline of student sailing...

BTW.. bovlike, how big are those student loans now-a-days??? Musto Skiff !!!! sounds like going without an awful lot of cheapo booze or having rich rentals to me

Think almost any uni able to scrape together the money has ditched their Larks in favour, generally, of Fireflies. Very few of the old warhorses left sinking.

Sorry to disappoint I don’t have rich parents far from it… Im a 27 hear old mature student (or adults returning to learning as they call us now, probably something to do with us not being very mature!!!) I was lucky enough to have worked at ovington boats for 5 years that is why I have a musto skiff. I also have a very very tired k reg VW transporter van that just about gets me from a to b every so often.

o and i just helm base 1 it is not mine

hey bovlike, let you off, thought for one minute student sailing had gone a bit soft and grant-u-like types were fore-going £1-a-pint nights in favour of new sails for their £xxxx's of boat..... but it seems I can keep the faith. goood news.

helmed, and trimmed, on some fine lead-mines in my student days, none of which I could have afforded the deposit for, never mind anything else..
