I know its not sailing related but:

R.I.P Colin was a true legend and an insperation to a hell of a lot of people, he achieved far more in his short lifetime than many of us could dream of doing. Its a sad loss to motorsport.

In my eyes one of the most inspirational figures in motorsport... Always all or nothing and always great to watch.

Massive shame.

It is just terrible news.  An absolute legend wll go down as one of if not the greatest Ralley Driver of all time, certainly up there with Ari Vatanen & Henri Toivonen  my heart goes out to his family and friends

Colin is the reason I bought my first Impreza; A top bloke and still had time for us plebes!

Double blow to the family to loose Colin’s son too, and we must not forget the other 2 in the chopper.

He will be missed.  Just hope where ever he is he is ripping it up with Richard Burns.

Dave Richards (Prodrive) also crashed his chopper coming back from Spa yesterday, but both he and his wife are OK.

Terrible loss. I saw Colin many times and he always entertained, his car control was incredible.

Apparently Dave Richards was flying home early after hearing the news about Colin. With Steve Fossett disappearing in a small plane 2 weeks ago it all seems a horrible coincidence.

Just shocking. Really gutted.  First Burnesy, then Colin.

Rally drivers make F1 drivers look like a bunch of pansies, and he was just the best.  He'll be sorely missed.

An example to us all.

He never gave up until after crossing the finishing line.

He will be missed
