We're in the market for a new Hobie Tiger F18 Jib and since we're new to the boat require some advice on the differences available.

The Main is an Ullman flat top jobbie, what should we be looking to put up front?

Yeah, my helm has spoken with Grant & he has a fully battened on for sale.

Is the fully battened one good all round or is it quite spacific to certain courses / conditions?

We use them all the time on the Tornado. Think its very much horses for courses. There are advantages and disadvantages of using a fully battened jib, probably the biggest is you can't furl your jib! But Grant is a sail maker and knows what he is talking about!!!(well he keeps telling us he does!!!) I think it would be fine for the majority of sailing
