Thought I'd put a new spin on an old thread. Rather than catching up with what people had been up to, why not put down what you're going to be up to in the coming weekend. That way forumites will be more likely to meet up in 'real life' as you'll have a sporting chance on who to look out for!

I'll start... I'm at Carsington this weekend in Badgers Nadgers with Stu Hopson. If you're there, say hello!

Thank you Paul for your kind words.  Yes, Sunday was a bit slow as far as I could see.

Still, managed to do shopping, get Sunday papers, wash bathroom floor with white spirit, get 3 coats of diamond hard clear varnish on the bathroom floor, cook Sunday lunch, wash up, screw the worlds biggest bathroom mirror to the wall, cut hedge, and have an enormous bonfire until 11 pm.

Who the hell would want to go sailing !!!!

It would almost be worth not going to Bala, and bring the 14 to draycote just for a laugh TT, we will be up to see everyone at Draycote again mid June.

Ps TT does that mean you will be racing in the same fleet at Draycote as us?

Asymmetric fleet is getting there but its mostly 200s at the moment so more botas form other classes need to enter to make it worthwhile before the sail com decide to scrap it again, I will be annoyed if they do because I was hoping to find a 29er crew at Draycote and hopefully do some of the asymm races! But it does all depend on getting a crew!

Sounds good Villain, I would imagine you would wipe the floor in the classic fleet though. Plus when you get the hang of it you can always go Winder baiting, Jon and I used to do that in 11054, the looks on their faces when they are beaten by a very old boat is a picture.

You will be on your side in the spice most of the time!

Anyone here want to crew a fireball next winter, and show Ratty that wooden symetric boat are fast ( Faster than his RS300 as well!!! )

Jeffers, I hope it'll be good fun. We know we arn't gonna be competetive on the circuit, but with a bit of time in the boat, we hopefully wont be too bad!

We will also hopefully be bringing it to Fed Week, along with an RS200 ( Go blasting in the Fireball after / before racing )

And in light winds - Just sail it singlehanded with the kite!

I sailed one single handed with the kite this weekend interesting dropping with bags!

epoxy on your fingers is painful, it dries up then it wont come off for ages and when you can pull it off it pulls the hairs out of the backs of your fingers.

ive been building a paper and epoxy model boat, thats how i know.

I had to drop the kite approaching the wall at draycote single handed when the crew went for an unplanned man overboard! It was close to the wall put it that way Got him back though before the saftey boats noticed, no harness nuffink

Going to the East Sussex Federation Race at Newhaven and Seaford sailing club. Rye, Hastings, Bexhill, Pevensey Bay, Eastbourne and Newhaven teams fighting it out, Pevensey are defending the cup. should be between 80 and 100 boats, mixed fleet handicap. I think the beach might be a bit "Dumpy" with SW winds forecast. Looks like wind against tide in the afternoon.

a furball for me today, in force 4-5 southwest in the solent this doesnt sound like good fireball weather, methinks we will be all full of water fairly quickly.
