Yep, the "connection refused" message has just come up with IE7 here. Looks like there's a glitch in the programming.

As long as the message gets posted, that's fine!

Should all be fine now - a few problems with the mail server being overloaded!

Surely after 3000 posts you should know that everytime you change your avatar or signature it changes it for any posts you have already posted!!

I think people are just jelous that they don't have a classy signature made for us by Radial179******* .Isn't it time you got one?

edit - forgot to say, I posted that in March, the sig was only done in April!!

I already use it at work and home (aside from where IE works and FF doesn't).

And the forum will be unusable for anyone using dialup or GPRS links rather than broadband or leased line business links.

Obviously you're not looking at other threads...

I removed your thread because you'd 'jumped the gun'.

Ok so I found it a bit early.

The new speedfreak forum is just off the bottom of the page - and to be honest I don't ( until now ) scroll down to see all the less interesting stuff further down!
It's below banter! - maybe it should move up so it's visible to lazy people.

Does it really matter?
If you want to get the freshest news with no scrolling (much!), hit the "Active Topics" link in the grey bar at the top of the page. Depending how often you visit the forum, that should fit nicely in a page.

Nothing much is happening on the SpeedFreaks thread anyway, so you're not missing anything.

The radical choice is to watch the thread, i.e. to choose "Watch this topic for replies" and get notified of a new post by e-mail. Only, beware of a sudden upsurge of banter-like replies that would turn your inbox into a quagmire of notification mails!

yeah, the hardcore forumites among us have found ourselves hitting the active topics link every day for a long long time now!  A lot more efficient - gets you right to the action
