Anybody know of a Solent or Southampton Water Club that could accomodate a C-Class Cat? I am looking for new home for Emma Hamilton as Calshot Activity Centre are trying to impose a 3 fold increase in there fees leaving me facing a bill of over £800 for this years membership and storage, a tad excessive for a beach cat me thinks even if it 25ft

!

Have tried Weston but got a no! No room in boat park and they went all health and safety on me worried about rescue etc in the event of capsising her.

theres a small club along from weston with some small yachts , could launch there and sail along to weston and race. Don't know details of club, just on entrance to Itchen river. (I've heard it's cheap).

Netley SC is just south of Weston, they have a good cat fleet and possibly enough space

Looks like Netley is going to Emma's new home thanks for all the suggestions.

Loch Ness Monster race sounds appealing but the logistics of transporting over 50ft of mast up Scottish country lanes says thats a big no no

would only be the last 2% of the journey that would be a problem , prob the case anywhere you go .

You need to save up for a two piece carbon mast so you can share the sight of a c at full speed with the rest of us .

not a purchase i would envy !

not much in the way of country lanes, to be honest.

A1 up the east coast or M6/M74 up the West, then up the A9 to Inverness,
(partly dual carriageway) then 8 miles to Dores, which isnt too bad.

8 miles out of 500 or so isnt too bad!!!

you know you want to!
