i think we have had mostly the same amount of light wind and heavy wind days. in the last regata i was in we had half the time flat calm and the rest of the time was pretty windy.

its roll. not role. windy days are the best, specially when ur crew is trapezing and then the rudder snaps and ur boat gybes on top of them and u capsize. aand in a 2mm shortie!

I'd say all the big events and most training i've been to apart from Inlands have been force 4-7 so pretty windy. But all the local events have been quite light.
Big wind and HUGE waves = best!

Big wind, more speed and more grin factor. And being on the stockier side of the ideal weight I'm all for a big wind day.

I'm amazed at how poor the use of English and particularly spelling is on the forum. I don't pretend to be perfect and did only achieve a D for GCE (many years ago)! That said, the bloomers really jump out of the page at you.

ok i think a B for a bloke is equal to an A* for a girl because it always seems that girls always do better than blokes!!

before getting into the complication of grade inflation... lol. Girls do better at english usually, but for some reason my set 1 maths and physics has mostly boys, uncommon for top sets.
Lets get back to the weather i don't even want to think about school!

OED defines Bloomer as blunder and Blooper as an embarrassing error; so I suppose it depends on whether it causes you embarrasment? I eventually retook English (GCSE by then) and achieved an A.
Dave along?
We seem to have got off the discussion topic, weather!

Yeah but I know I'm thick. Getting back onto the subject I blame it on the weather. Too much water on the brain. (along it was not a spelling error but a typing error in fact there must be something wrong with this keyboard it can't possibly be my fault).

Hey folks,
please......
Does it matter if we are great, or not so great at spelling? I am sure we can all understand what is meant, even if we dont have exam results in common we all have one thing in common.............. SAILING
|

yeah...that's is true but i think harrys point was that brian had commented on someone elses spelling before, maybe he should practise what he preaches!

soz hurricane. one of the main reasons i am such an annoyink
person is because I DONT HAVE A BOAT and i complain about
it constantly. which is really the reason that the Team Wetsuits
thread sort of changed to me wishing i could get a 29er. and i
havent heard of a hat and gloves and steamer watever. for me.
the shortie has only just been invented.

ok, well i will enloighten you.....
* a hat: you put it on your head and it keeps the heat in to warm u up.
*gloves: if your sailing then wear sailing gloves and they will give u better grip on ropes, protect your hands and posibly keep them a tiner bit warmer, but just deal with the cold....we all do.
and most people wear a
*drysuit: in the winter drysuits are worn over your cloths and strangly, it keeps you dry!!! like magic hey!

Thought this was about weather, and how patchy it has been this year, even grafham was flat calm last weekend, it better be blowing old boots for the frosbite series to make up for it!!

me= just a 2mm shortie and a pair of board shorts
Top tip= while wearing the aforementioned attire do NOT jump in after a
snapped rudder!
and, its not me thats complaining that its too cold, its me thats
complaining that its not too cold, but they shut it for winter anydangway

Lighthouse, anyoneone can go on this forum, if you want you're own forum with no kids you can make your own (by the way thats called DISCRIMINATION- I learnt it in R.E today!) or alternatively you can go read the finacial times and smoke a pipe.
All in good humour m8! (that was deliberate btw- and so was that)

Blimey, look what I've started! I only asked...I haven't had one of these new fangled internets very long, and my ageing brain is already full. You young whippersnappers should go easy on me!
Now my girlfriend is giving me stick for talking to young women on a chat room.
If you don't hear from me again, I've been locked up.
