Has anyone any idea how many F16's may attend the Cat open ?  Also, are any single handers planning to sail the Single handed Chanpionship ?

Same question for the Spitfire's

Cheers

Simon

SIX A classes from Minnis me very jealous me and my A class buddies can only scrape together a few between us in scottishy land but 100% of the fleet (all 3 of us) have plans to make the trip to englandsestershire looks like a couple of hurricany things in various guises and stealths too (4 boats from Helensburgh-they may require a separate annex)

better all have your drinking shoes on!

and your goose pooh boots on for that matter

scuse me for rambling but wed night racing is now finished what else is a man to do ???? decorate stuff ? Nah this better.

Geese are currently under control as the whole shore by the sailing club has been fenced to stop them coming ashore at the club.  A goose poo free zone at the moment.

Thanks Simon I did not mean to criticise the landscaping or lifestock at Grafham and look forward to wearing my paisley pattern slippers there (not goose pooh boots) in October.

Though I am glad and kind of interested in seeing how you all got the geese to use the toilets

Well, you know Kevin, and helms are over rated anyway, he'll probably be  so i might as well be single handed

There isn't a thread for the Hurricanes so i thought i would add it here like catmando has...

The fench is on the back of the lake and (for what ever reason) they appear to just avoid this bit of bank.

The reason the NOR does not give much away is we are still trying to sort out the mix - finding room for 200+ cats on Grafham is not easy.

However, it is looking something like this

Single handed chaps(40-50+ boats), fast handicap(not sure), F18(15+), Spitfire(18+), Hurricanes(18+), Sprint 15(30+), Med handicap(?), slow handicap(?), Vortex(18?) and Dart 18(30?).

Prep Signal for first race will not before 11:55 on Saturday AM.

Fast Fleet course (SH, FA, F18, Spitfire and 5.9) will be W/L (with a spacer), slow course will be a mixture.

Hope this helps.

Sure does ,thanks

Trust gates will be open for friday arrivals  and bar.

Interesting to see you are including vortex in cat regatta , there was one racing as a skiff at scottish skiff champs  at largs last weekend , versatile boats , whats its schrs ? a bandit i would guess , though i expect it has its own class .

Can we take goose pooh home for the allotment or is it spoken for ?

I assume the gates will be open; best phone the club to check.

Ditto Bar.

SCHRS is being worked on.....  I think they have their own start on the slow course.

GW is fairly goose poo free.

Not yet; once the paper is finished, we hope to be able to publish it at the same time as it is submitted to the ISAF.  The plan is for new numbers to be implemented for the "start" of the season, on or about 1st March.

I've just found out that there is a raffle to be drawn on Saturday night at 18:00  for 3 pressure washers.  Each boat that enters will get a ticket, BUT you must be in the top Bar at 18:00 to claim it, If you win and you are not there, it will be re-drawn.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOW

The goose pooh must be really bad if they're giving out pressure washers for boats and boots ....... even in the bar!

Si I've just had a quick look at the NOR for the forthcoming event and it says that it is open to all Catamarans with a rating of 1.03 or lower,  doesn't this exclude Spitfires?.  I think someone's made a mistake.  Also, the warning signal is this Saturday 15th.

I read that as 1.30.  Which I think includes most things.  Is there anything slower than 1.30?

No excuse for missing the start, though.  A week's warning should be enough for anyone :)
