I might be sailing it, but it's still sh**e!

I don't know what planet your living on...it's 5 hairdryers, 5 straightners, 20 lippies and nail varnish and 3000 pairs of shoes, and you forgot 100 bags!

hehe

and my suitcase is big and pink so i dont need a new suitcase!!!

Put everything you think you could need on a bed (you don't need to sleep in), leave it for a couple of days and come back and look at it. You will find that there are lots of items you now realise you will never need. Take them out and repeat until the pile is small enough to be packed.

It works!

Or .. Take 2 sets of clothes, and buy the rest when you get there?

Sell all the "new" clothes before you come back ... That way you can take it all on as hand luggage, dont have to hang around getting your bags after the flight etc etc.

Where are you going too?

my girlfriend at the time suggested a rolling technique before i went away. worked fine, got more stuff in my bag than ever before and it kinda came out like it had been ironed.....

the trip coming home wasnt so simple. I wasn't gonna do any of that rolling rubbish and did i get it all to fit in the bag again?! Hell no!

word of warning... trying that technique with dirty clothes and washing up whilst at uni doesn't work. I really gave it my best shot but it didn't shift.

- Fill it to the brim with all the crap you accumulate over three years

- join The AA home start plan & get lift back to the parents on the back of a pickup

All in All far cheaper than National Rail and you don't have to lug bloody great boxes around  Euston station.

Thats the best advice i have ever heard, just out of interest do you need a driving licence to join aa

And if any of my progeny read this or get wind of it, take heed of the good advice, but anyone who turns up with a scrapper on my doorstep best have sharp eyesite to be able to find their genitals after I've kicked them off your body.

For the best deal though Green Flag or whoever they are now do a much better deal than AA on the recovery - and the membership fee was even less than the tank of petrol it would have cost to drive home...

Packing in general - if you have enough clothes for a week you have enough for a lifetime...
