Hey this probs isn't in the right spot but here goes..

My brother and myself have an old penultimate 14 GBR 1333 which is down in Portsmouth at a small sailing Club in Langstone Harbour (where we are only one of a couple of high performance boats... but the harbours and okay size and the membership fees are cheap!) but now that my brother has moved away (Damn jobs!) and my now current helm is super busy with his job, poor windspirit seems to be spending more time collecting cobwebs than out on the water!

I was wondering if you had any ideas of the best place to Advertise for a more regular helm (one that could sailing during the week and some weekends would be ideal) My club isn't the best place to advertise... Pompey Uni (well lets just say i haven't had the best experience with getting help from them!) Theres an advert on the 14 class website... but i'm running out of ideas... (and although advertising at HISC seems appealing i think i'd get shot down as my boats not there!)

any help would be greatly appreciated as the withdrawal symptoms are getting too much!

Have a look on the "Crew Finder" on the Y&Y site ... I'm sure you can swing people round to helming for you :)

Don't see why anyone would object from HISC if you advertised there, there aren't many (any?) 14's racing in club events- the only ones we see are the top guys who seem to use the club as a training base. It's a good place to get an advert in front of lots of people I'd give it a go!
