sorry it just seemed like a reasonable question at the time.

but red apple pips dont taste as nice as green apple pips.

It sounds like you are a lot more hungry these days. As A child I used to eat it all including the stalk but now I am older and more well to do so I just eat up to the pips and then throw the rest. Such a waste but a whole one seems so much.

The whole thing... pips and all.

But that was then. this is now - it all seems too much. If you are able, you should eat it all. If you have the privacy, later you can deficate in a place, and plant the seeds for future generations to eat and enjoy.

As for the taste - I think the pips all taste the same.... it is the core section which differs, due to what I don't know. Freshness, water content, sugar content etc.... I don't know. But red ones core is always tougher. I used to put that down to them being imported so being held at a cooled temperature for longer. Am I the most boring man in the world?
