Hi one and all.

Have any of you been been unlucky enough to snap a rudder blade recently. I am looking for a bottom piece to make an international canoe rudder. I have not made foils before so thought my initial attempt would be best made from a preformed (Proffesionally made) tiller blade cut to size.

The profile best suited would be faily shallow and just 12" - 18"inches deep.

If you can help out it would be much appreciated.

Cheers

I am mid way through my first rudder but I am starting from scratch so it might be a different process. You might struggle to make a strong join when bonding the new part to the old broken part but I'm not really sure. The only website with any real amount of literature and material on foil making is the UK Cherub site so have a browse..

If you need any help at all feel free to PM me.

I think hes planning on just using the bottom section for a mini IC rudder tim not bond it to a new section?

If you do end up building from scratch im halfway though building a carbon/foam daggerboard and I can take some pics and talk you through what ive done/am doing etc if that will help at all.
