Went and watched the race yesterday- fantastic.

Did any other forum'ites go out there?

Why did they move the area of the race?

We were very lucky as we were on Blueprint, a 60ft boat so had some comfort on board but for others in RIBS etc it must have been a long day.

Yeah, I was there. Five foot swell when the nasties blew through. I have a feeling (could be wrong) but I think that a lot of craft were expected and the QHM did not want the narrow entrance to the harbour too congested.

As for comfort - there was not a lot on my RiB even though it was 6.5m. It felt like I had done ten rounds with Mike Tyson and Frank Bruno - I still ache now

Hi olly_love....

Meant to be out on Bluesprint but due to course change and its distance the guys thought Blueprint would be more 'convenient'
Tim was there -nice guy. We had a fab but saddly short sail in the squalls on the way home, a snapped jib halyard ended our sitting on the rail - great fun though.   The Guys Lisa and Jono were great at getting good viewing points. Just one of those really great days on the water.
