I now realise how refreshing it is to be in a country where football is given as much attention as tiddlywinks...

Well you've got only 3 football codes up there

Rugby league and rugby union plus AFL, who needs that little game called soccer.

It is shocking. At the brilliant staff friendly (not) company that I work for they have given 80 people a half day on each of the england games what a crock. I like footbal but I think covering you car and everything else in flags its pointless it makes us look like proper tits.

Any other bright ideas?

Was going to our local shop the other day and saw a white BMW 5 series with an England flag printed on the bonnet parked up, also had an Arsenal sticker on each side........and I thought they had special homes to lock those sort of people up?

The only decent raison d'être for those near-ubiquitous fluttering manifestations of gregarious instinct came apparent today. When cars (displaying examples of the manufacturer's commercial skills) are parked, you can judge the speed and direction of wind much more easily, on the way to the sailing club!

Mr. Kirby, we need to have a little chat next weekend

In answer to a previous question, I support the one and only Glasgow Rangers. Don't mind seeing good old Blackburn Rovers do well, and with the Chelsea/Arsenal thing, my bias is towards Chelsea.....

The car thing struck me as stupid because in Glasgow, if you parked a green car outside Ibrox (Ranger's ground), you could be very certain that a call to the insurance company would have to be made, and that's without any Celtic insignia on it. Reckon the same situation may happen if you parked your car up in certain parts of London with Arsenal stickers...........
