Does anyone else keep getting this while browsing the forum:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e23'

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Optimistic concurrency check failed. The row was modified outside of this cursor.

/main/titleandbanner.asp, line 65

I have had this message several times today. Anything wrong Mark?

Paul

This can happen when someone (Mark ) is playing around in the background, or when the server (and or Database) is working hard.

Usually not serious I believe

Not sure whether I am looking forward to joining the 'Really Should get out more' crowd of not...perhaps we should change it to 'Really should do some more work and not spend all day browsing the Y&Y forum'

It's been appearing from time to time while navigating the forum in the past. Probably due to the volume of traffic. Just refresh the page and it comes back to normal.
If any of you feels unspeakable anger at the site of a runtime error, you have an alternative: try diazepam or get a life...

I think thats an OFFICIAL word of warning if ever I've heard one BNS. Is that the mum or the teacher talking though? I think that the killer blow is always the "I'm not angry Tim... I'm disappointed...!"

The 5 stars say it all......

Fingers crossed it will all be resolved when Mark gets his new server running.....

Like most techies he is probably sat in the server room giggling like a little girl while he installs it...

Hi all

I think I've fixed this now. We did the final part of the server move overnight and there were a couple of bits I'd not done...

Firstly the email upload component wasn't loaded properly - this is now sorted.

Secondly, the SQL date was set to US instead of UK which changes the date format from DD/MM/YYYY to MM/DD/YYYY which causes havoc all over the place.

Keep me posted if you find any more problems....

Cheers

Mark

Hmmm, not much I can do about that one for the moment - unless I make our own outgoing mail server...

I'll see what I can do with our hosts.

Mark, if we get you a pay-rise, can I get a free magazine subscription when the fees come up again

.....or could you just knock my posts up to 2000 to annoy a certain Cherub and Moth sailor
