Fairly new this internet lark, and surfing a lot to find websites of interest...
Two new ones came to light.....this one, and a new one i found, that has just started, but does look good. http://www.boat-talk.com./ - www.boat-talk.com. I have started to use both.
Most I have looked at appear to have some affiliation to a company that ultimatley i feel will try to sell me something !
Regards to all

Spam is still spam, no matter how you describe it.

2 + 2 = ?
despite what you may think, it's not my site. If it was i would be proud to tell you as I wish i had the abillity / knowledge to create something like this, but at my advanced years just using the internet is a big enough challange.
as with everthing in life you have the choice to totaly ignore the suggestion and never visit the site.
regards

Well, we all had a look I'm sure, but I didn't register with their forum for the moment. However, saradex, even if you're a newcomer to the wonderful world of Internet fora, you've got to admit that 2 identical posts on 2 sites, pointing to a third site, looks a lot like advertising. Still, welcome to the Y&Y forum community and enjoy our company!

Well thank you for the welcome, black no sugar.
two identical posts, yup, a might strange I agree, but unfortunaly being a bit short on digits, cut and paste is very handy, unlike me.

Lol soz Dinghy Sailing Magazine. If you have a look through the banter section there are some threads hinting about the 'hidden' rivalry.

Well, at least Y&Y don't appear to rehash the same old articles unlike DSM.
In their current issue they are discussing rescues involving safety boats. Unbeknown to the author and/or editor, the racing rules have changed, as they do every 4 years, so their mistake is quite glaring

Looks like you got a friendly welcome on that YBW forum lol But we're a much nicer bunch here - and you don't have to join another forum, you'll start getting confused and then putting strange posts up when you're operating 2 forums at once... an example following --------

i think the whole competing thing between the two forum is stupid, i mean they're about pretty different things within a big heading, and for different audiences. what's the point in having a rivalry like that. this forum seems a lot more fun orrientated wheras that one's more sensible. oh and by the way, i appologise for any comments that i may have made on the DSM forum to members of this forum that caused offense. sorry guys

I had a look at it last week with Carshalton, and one of the pages had to be skimmed on very fast, since my 9-year-old was trying to read over the shoulders Young innocent boys like you...... you should be ashamed
