Wow!!!  That sounds so cool - well just talk about the qualities you have as a person that you think they will need onboard their boats and the kind of boats you have sailed in the past (especially any good races ) and maybe talk about the things you just enjoy doing generally apart from sailing! Well that's an idea anyway....

Your sailing experience is going to be important, so list your major achievments, the length of time you have been involved in the sport, and the variety of boats you've sailed.

However don't forget other aspects which could show your overall character.  They will want to see that you have more than just sailing ability.  For instance

  • Do you have any first aid / life saving certificates or other similar?
  • Can you demonstrate when you have worked well as a team?
  • Do you have anything else that might show you as an "interesting person" to have as part of the crew?

make sure you mention other things to sailing cos employers will want to know ou are an interesting person who is interested in a vairiety of things. If you don't mention anything but sailing it will seem like you have nothing else in your world.

You've got everybody's opinion, even serious stuff from Noble Marine and  turnturtle! Now you need the final (and invaluable) bit of advice from BWD and you'll be on a winner!!  Thumbs Up

Just make it up so as it sounds good. Don't worry if it is not 100% accurate, if it is a bit obscure enough to make it interesting they will not know how to check it anyway, and get a relative to act as your reference, just make sure they have a different surname.
