Does anybody know of anyone needing crew for Cowes Week? Currently live in Dubai and will be in the Uk from 1st of July in Weymouth. I am yachtmaster qualified with 700 offshore miles. have spent my last 5 years doing a lot of dinghy and Cat sailing as well as this past 2 years match racing and keelboat sailing on Bull 7000's, Benateau 36.7 and Benateau 44.7.

I doubt many owners are thinking about crew for Cowes just yet. Rest assured it is not hard to find a berth. There is a crew list on the event website and several classes (e.g. 707, SB3) also run crew lists. Just walking around the marinas works too.

What do you want to sail? If its a sports boat you can contact the relevant associations for boat charter details. For bigger stuff like Stefan says: event web site and cold calling works well. If its your first cowes, you might enjoy trying as a crew for the older classes which for this event, are suprising well supported, friendly and fun. (not to mention competitive). Cowes is your oyster. Enjoy while its in season.
