The AP flag being used at the Olympics is a different shape to the old long thin dirty dangly thing that is in the ICS and the RRS. The one being used is almost the same shape as the  First Substitute albeit with a bit cut off the point to give a square tip. This flag will fly in almost any wind and is greatly to be preferred IMHO. Does anyone know where there is an illustration of it and even some form of words authorizing its use?

Only thing I can find is on optimal sailing website, which states pennant should be as large as possible. They sell different lengths.
