Hello, everyone.

I understand that not many people read this forum right now, but still, I found ya.
I am a newcomer to sailing and can rightly consider myself a beginner who needs advice.
Where did you study sailing? Maybe someone can recommend me a school where I can get some knowledge or books that will have knowledge in this field. I have found too much information on the internet and my head is about to explode. I need someone who can put the information in my head on the shelf.

Thank you in advance.

I learnt on a Royal Air Force Sailing Association course, but these days I'd say go to your nearest sailing club and find out whether they do courses. Just sitting and chatting to some sailors at a club would help sort your Ideas out.

You can go to the RYA website and look there for your nearest clubs.. They probably have a list on their web site of their accredited courses.

To which
If you are in the Broads area, then I'd recommend Horning Sailing club, their courses are fully accredited and we can always do with new members.. As a fully Amateur run club with no paid professionals, but fully qualified instructors, It would be cheaper than going to a company that offers training.

Hi all, sorry for the long period of absence from this forum. I live in the UK, but I am currently in the Netherlands. I found some courses in my city, but in the meantime I decided to try online courses as I'm moving around a lot now because of my work. Even though I knew something before, I still learned a lot of new things in the course. If anyone is interested, I take the course at http://yapp.pro/" rel="nofollow - https://yapp.pro/ , it's very convenient for me that they have a phone app
thank you all for replying to this thread!!!
