I've been putting a new boat together and have 3D printed a few bits and pieces for it so far (which is quite satisfying), but the thing I'd really like to print off is the back plate from a Tacktick. It seems to me that as most racing dinghies have a Tacktick bracket on them now, it would make a perfect universal mount for all sorts of things such as GoPros, Max, Clinometer, Timer etc etc if I could get the 3D shape for the mating backplate off the Tacktick itself.

I can find lots of resources online for the bracket that fits onto the boat but nothing for the back of a Tacktick itself. Does anybody have a STL file or similar they could share?

Measure it up and model it, or if you have the model for the bracket derive the geometry for the tacktick mount from that?

Yes and a few other websites too. Lots of Tacktick mounting brackets, Tacktick mast/boat supports but nothing for the mating backplate off the compass itself.
Sailmon do one, but at 73EUR I'm not rushing to buy one.  https://shop.sailmon.com/product/tactick-converter-mast-bracket/" rel="nofollow - https://shop.sailmon.com/product/tactick-converter-mast-bracket/

I reckon it'd be easy enough to make something functional out of 3mm perspex, I might have a try as I want something to fit two GPS cycle computers to the boat in similar positions to the Tacktick displays.
