I am not that into Sail-GP but what Russell says makes a lot of sense, and should be a warning to us all.
Please read it before you judge.

Article made my eyes glaze over Confused
Major package of laws rushed in to protect citizens from a pandemic, bound to be errors.
No jab no job, draconian ? I would have it count only for new employees, only two ay my work not inoculated, both valuable members of staff, would be a major thing to let them go.
Very difficult to agree with someone using their fame to push a point of view.

Don’t know if this is being misrepresented, but alarming if true:
  • Finally and perhaps most important, I'm against the fact that some of our mainstream media have received payment from the New Zealand government conditional on them promoting government policy, propaganda and spin.

Not in the least alarming. Its surely a government's duty to campaign against false propaganda damaging to the welfare of their citizens.

They have an interesting way of doing it then. Shoot a man but list him of dieing of a virus. Which version of death is false propaganda then?

Yes, but bribing a newspaper to take editorial control? Very Chinese if that is actually the case.

Wouldn't have thought NZ government paid for nonsense posts about being shot and then say, that person died of covid.

A simple Google search will pull up enough information on the background to this for anyone to come to a balance view on this matter .
Unless that person’s tin foil hat is on too tight lol

I suspect that means govt advertising of covid precautions? Doesn't sound either alarming or surprising.

Yes, if just an advert that is perfectly normal.  If influencing editorial opinion, less good.

Influencing editorial opinion goes on all the time between lobby groups, political parties and the media...

Compared to UK and Brazil, find it difficult to sympathise when a country complains about it leaders.
