I think that is shocking. I have just put a reply basically telling them they need to chill.  What is the point in them having a bitch about nothing.  Yes there is allot of erelevent stuff on here but its a good forum and for every erelevent piece on banter there is good useful information for whatever querie anyone may have.

They need to all just join onto here and have a little fun in there lives.

The Y&Y forum's great - you can talk about any old rubbish u want!  Or alternatively u can talk proper bout sailing.

Goodness they take themselves soooooooooo seriously! And there I was, thinking that posting on a forum was a way of communicating with like-minded others  (I was thinking about sailing, yer know.......)

Read through a few threads and you get to see 9 pages dedicated at "hmmm-we-ought-to-talk-about life-and-death-matters-at-all-times-on-this-forum-and-leave- the-idiots-to-Y&Y"   Well, I know my place: right here! At least, this is FUN!

So, stay just as you are, guys! Love you all  xxx

Well, you got a friendly sensible reply from one of their usual contributors... Hmm, maybe we could invite him to come and play here?!

As for the "Wow-omg-lol-" dialogues, we seem to have grown out of that. Even the worst 'banterers' avoid that type of post now. Maybe because we're not competing for stars any longer! On that note, congratulations to 5420 who's just been awarded the coveted title of Really should get out more !   Nice one

ANY EXCUSE to put that little crazy thingy Isis

By Aardvark juggling do you mean the Aardvark is doing the juggling or being juggled?  i.e. is he the juggler or the jugglee?

Isis! You really should get out... then again, you might see a little bit of sunshine, a glimmer of hope and faint promise of the spring to come and think to yourself "Hmm that bit of sky is the same colour as my sig!"

Brilliant sig, Isis! All these hours in front of your PC are not wasted!

PS. I wasn't being a bully earlier.... I was talking from experience: when I picked up my youngest at playschool today, another little girl had a coat the same shade of pink as the border-table-top and -bottom, on the site I'm currently writing ! I should get out more, I know

I've found why! Good old Wikipedia:

And all because of the Beatles (kookookudju)

It could mean something quite dubious in French!  Still, that arch-baddy was known as Robotnik in France.

I've got the feeling this Banter section gets as many views as pretty much all the others combined - putting it like that, what a responsibility

As for odd and amusing twists of language, I think there were a few photos posted on the Best funny emails thread. I'll try and dig them out if I've got a minute. Then again, I'm sure many people have their own version of them, stored away in their PC!

What was that formula thats was concocted for first time in a new boat?

number of capsizes % (time on water x wind strength)

Something like that I think...
