First up, this is not a pop at Optimum Time products, there is no question they make great products.
I have 2 Optimum time watches. One has not had a battery change in 18 months! The other eats a fresh 2032 in 3 days. So I only put the battery in whiles its in use. There are no leaks, so its not a short caused by water. No biggie.
Has any one else had this problem, and did they find a cure?

I've 2 of the sailing watches, both have >24 months battery life.
One has a broken strap (moulded as one piece with the body).

The only thing I can imagine is that the led light is permanently on. That will drain a battery quickly, it's a push button to activate. Check to see if the button is sticky, or if it's being activated by a cuff or other physical object.

Mine lasts over two years, only problem with it, is it sometimes gets moisture on the inside of the lens, but I leave it in the window at home or by the rad and it dries out.
