Feeling urban and yoof?

I grew up as an urban yoof, can't say I ever thought that dancing as an Olympic sport would make it more interesting.

I guess olympic sailing with just end up moving further and further away from what the majority actually do.

Will the same apply to athletics? Very large people lobbing weights on wires isn't exactly trendy, though I can see the urban yoof aiming them at each other or at the police, especially in Paris.

Can they bring back painting and literature then?

Though presumably it would have to be graffiti and angry, angst ridden urban literature.

Strange thing is, break dancing is about as out of date as Laser sailing.

Never saw it on every street corner either (stated on the news), in fact only ever seen it in the States and like you say was years ago, hardly 2020 mainstream.

I believe that the current supplier of the linoleum for the dance mat has refused to let the break dancing association to verify it is in specification and will be producing a new mat identical to the previous mats but called ILDM

And still they haven’t let squash in

Breakdancing's inclusion does nowt to support my wife and her colleagues to stop ballet being lumped in with sport and aerobics in the covid regs...

That's because squash is played by middle aged CEOs on their lunch breaks as they do the next deal, not by young hip things on the streets of Brooklyn.

All these stereotypes are dated 1985, by the way.

One of the most exciting new sports is across city cycle racing against the flow of traffic, totally bonkers.
