Can anyoe reccommend a really good adjustable length tiller extension, is there a carbon version that adjusts? Meter out to meter fifty I guess? Ronstan used to do that 'battle stick' but it was a weighty old piece of work, just wondered if any of the smaller players might have something anyones come across?

Carbon extendable tiller extensions definitely exist - I had a Holt one about 20 years ago. A quick search suggests Allen make one, not cheap though... https://www.force4.co.uk/item/Allen/Telescopic-Carbon-Tiller-Extensions/J6H

Try catamaran users extensions. When I had a Prindle cat, some years ago, I used an extending carbon stick, about 10cm diameter. Maybe about 2m long extending to 3 - 3,5m bullet proof. Went over , fell on it and it took it well.
