How widely are these distributed these days, watching Aero Man strolling up the beach one handed the other day convinced me they must play their part and what about big ballooney tyres, has anyone come across these for launch trolleys?
Took that damned heavy as hell Blaze out Sunday, I'm fine now thankyou, feel much better, the hernia op was successful. 
I actually quite enjoyed it, makes all the difference now I sort of know what to do, or at least what you're supposed to do, which I have to admit I didn't really when I first bought it, now I just need to make the transition from boat park to water more acceptable. Grf The only trouble with ally trolley is with pneumatic tyres they tend to float, its easier with solid wheels like the Aero uses. They may not be as good across your beech though. Very happy with my ally Sovereign trolley on the Solo. Yes it does float but is much easier to pull up the ramp. Would never have a steel trolley again. ------------- Happily living in the past |

| Had one on my IC. Big blessing. With my usual determination to do things differently if the wind was onshore I used to float the trolley under the boat alongside the jetty and tie the bow on before taking the boat to the bank. |

Ally trolly is an option with a new Blaze, bear in mind the ally trolly needs a 275 road base, the steel trolly is a 250. Glad you enjoyed the Blaze again

Considering the flyweight cargo the alu Aero trolley has to carry, it is way over-specc'd and heavier than you may think. I used to think balloon tyres were the way to go, but the standard hard wheels on the Aero trolley are waaaay better - no risk of a flattie when trying to launch either.

In my 470 days, the bloke-at-the-back had an ally gunwale hung all-in-one roady-trailer/trolley made up. Obviously heavier than an ally trolley-only but probably less than a steel 250 trolley - and the weight was mostly in the axle/wheels, so with the boat on, the lifting weight was no big deal. On the subject of 'balloon tyres', I found 'lawn tyres' of 16 inch diameter and 6 inches wide a great help on the beach sometimes with the 400. I've put 18 x 8.5 x 8 tyres and tubes on standard trolley plastic rims. You can get tyres and tubes for maybe 30 or 40 quid a pair. Much better quality than the ebay wheelbarrow tyres. But also heavier. And the buoyancy is a pest sometimes. But when everyone else is sinking into the beach, fat tyres are good.

| The new MK4 Hartley Blazes come with an aluminium trolly... Theyre pretty damn easy to move around and feel super light. Must be partly down to the lighter trailer and the new Blazes being the correct weight! |
