I need some parts in my boat and thought I'd go custom. I have the drawings ready but it seems that finding a good manufacturer is more difficult than I first thought. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm in the Manchester area.

Or does anybody have experience with  http://fractory.com" rel="nofollow - http://fractory.com ? It seems they're willing to deliver anywhere and it's easy to use but I want to be sure of the quality I'm receiving.

Please tell us exactly what boat part this is, because I'm afraid your post looks like advertising otherwise. We get a lot of these so I have to be careful.

Oh sorry! I have my drawings ready for a new keel. It's 20 mm thick alu 5754. As I understand, not everyone can provide good quality with aluminium cutting. But I only have the one part, and I didn't get any replies to my request from a few places. That's why I'm asking if anyone has any contact with them. I could order it from there but the site doesn't have a single review on Google either... Wouldn't want to risk getting a badly done job.

So, if you have any feedback or alternatives where people would actually talk to me about my query, let me know!

So you have a piece of alloy sheet, and you want it cut into, what a 2D shape or a 3d shape? And really what you'd like are recommendations? Where you are would be useful too.

It's a 2D part, no bending or anything else required. I just need someone who can cut thick alu with good quality.
I actually included my location in the initial post - Manchester. I don't have the material myself, so the manufacturer doesn't really have to be in the area, as long as they deliver to Manchester.

Try these, located next to lift bridge over the the river Tees, they mainly make stuff for North sea oil and ship building industry, not sure about cost, but they do one offs and may be reasonable due to it being interesting, or perhaps access to an untapped market, (I do know someone who works There, so not neutral).

Ah, thanks for the tip. I actually got it ordered already because couldn't find any other good leads. But will bookmark the place in case I need something again.
