Hi Guys

Any advice for stripping a carbon mast prior to re-varnishing it?

I have 3 RS600 masts that need to be done.

Cheers
Dan

Be gentle. I'd probably just remove all the loose material with wire wool, and maybe the gentlest of rubbing down with 400 grit wet.

Personally speaking I'd paint them, I am very unconvinced by varnish. To my mind if it wasn't letting some damaging UV through it wouldn't be flaking off.

White or light two pot, any reasonable marine brand.
