Get in touch with the class association: http://www.sailenterprise.co.uk/ They can look it up for you.

I had 22511, which was new in I'm guessing about 1994.

The sail number doesn't work for dating, they may not be original to boat, Hull number will give you exact date.

Keifer1972? did you post the number off the sail or are you already aware of the requirement for an Ent hull to have the sail number moulded or carved into an Enterprise hull if it has been registered? On wooden boats it's on the transom, plastic boats on the transom or rear thwart IIRC. As 432zero says the number on the sail is often not the boat's official 'sail number' on older boats. You can tell if it is 'cos it will match the number carved on the hull.

The current rules state that a 'production serial number' be engraved on a plate affixed to the transom but I don't know if that will help with dating, particularly with an older boat. As above the relevant number is the 'sail number' carved into the transom or thwart.

Just came across this on the web: a list for the 2015 Ent Nationals:

"22479 STARSHIP Ollie Hawkins / Simon Lawes Looe SC"

So, if your boat is called 'Starship', it'll be 22479, if not, then it's probably just a set of sails.

However, I found the boat on a video of the race, and it is indeed white with a red deck, so the sail number is probably correct:

Watched this video a couple of times, my old ent was in this race, also watched it in reference to the boat that clipped the back of the guard boat.

And the one that hit the gate boat....... Couldn't tell what the gate boat was but if it was another rib like the guard boat they are far from ideal as a gate 'cos they get pushed around by the waves at that speed instead of holding a constant speed and heading.
