I have a yacht with a draught of 1.68m

I have been offered a mooring which gets down to 1.6 at LAT.

Is there a serious risk here, it's a good mooring at a good price?

The bottom is mud.

I'm about to go through Reeds and see how often we will get that shallow.

If the depth is constant then you should not have a problem, however what about neap tides is the depth the same ?, also if all the mud is soft then fine but you need to check how soft as it may be just the top few feet.

If it's mud and soft you are unlikely to have any issue.

If it's flat and firm you will hardly notice it - the tide will only get that low for a few hours a year, and 8cm is not a lot! Though lack of access at LW springs might be a consideration.

What you should worry about is what is on the bottom. Exposed mooring blocks or anchors, abandoned sharp objects etc could spoil you day, or at least your keel.
