Ellen being the ultimate professional probably prepared really well for this. I reckon she had been practising before hand (and I don't mean the practise laps she got on the day). This would be typical of Ellen, to be the best prepared on the day - she even asked if she had more or less fuel than anyone else. Now that is attention to detail. I suspect she didn't. Did you notice Clarkson saying how close her lines were to the Stig's? The lady, by all accounts, learns at a ferocious speed without letting ego get in the way and I rather think she just put into practice everything the Stig could give her, learning at her normal spectacular rate. |
