Will they throw in a mackerel line or two for him? It could clinch the deal...

What 50% off Toppers? Where?

More or less new Laser for 4 grand? Deal? Sounds like something from the sales prevention team.

50% Off, pay next year, interest free..

That's a deal, in case you were wondering.

And no there are no black friday deals on Core kites, sorry.

Probably because the people who build them need to earn a living.

Given quite a few singlehanders are now north of 10k, me thinks the industry is pricing out the JAMs- if not from the sport as a whole, then certainly from the aspiration of new boat ownership.

i'd venture to suggest that a mass produced board:

Sells far more units than a racing dinghy
Takes far less time to build
Uses far less materials
Is made of much cheaper materials
Has had far less R&D on a specific model
Has far lower tooling costs
Are manufactured abroad at far lower unit cost for most of the above reasons

And therefore that they can, maybe, afford to give a few thousand away. And might still earn a profit even at that price.

It's also a sh*t board unless you're a dedicated wavehead - and if you are, you wouldn't ride starboard unless you were given kit free or grossly knocked down. Poor example Graeme, but if you want a 30% voucher code to get some discount off North / Fanatic let me know ;-)
