If its OK.... can you have a quick look through the survey below and put yes for all that you recognise/know. This isn't a popularity contest, its purely to help with a project on advertising and commercial awareness

Yes to those I recognised, but several are logos I've seen on other peoples sails but don't have a clue who they are.

It's an exact example of the need for good graphic design, style and how badly it is lacking in this cottage industry. There were some hideous and by and large pointless logos amongst that lot and it's no wonder in forty years of studying sails and sailmakers I've missed as many of them, true it's largely a local thing, but boats travel and carry their sailmakers logo with them so unforgiveable to invest nothing in your company name style.

I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger. Then it hit me.

No Speedsails either. Would have been better as a guess the logo to see who knows what tbh. Would have been a bit of a fun challenge, (obviously you would have to remove the name from some of the logo's) bit like that spreadsheet that was doing the rounds with all the logo's of beer etc on it, spent hours on that

It's a good question for club quiz nights, that and class symbols.

All those with a name work for me, I could easily find the company on the internet if I wanted to buy one of their sails (possibly with the exception of Lennon Sails who's logo is, oddly, two upper case N's). OTOH, the only one of the seven without that I confidentially recognised was Neil Pryde.

Completed survey - eventually, on my PC.

Had a couple of goes last night on my iPad but in both cases the drop down menu failed to appear/respond on one sailmaker (different one each time) and results consequently failed to send

I didn't see Alverbanks or Rush - although Tim Rush is now at North I think.  Also Speed Sails - I bought the most fabulous Fireball Kite from Speed in the early naughties - set beautifully.
