Hi All
Just wanted people to know what has happened to me.
I used to be a stalwart memeber of the Lee on Solent rs400 fleet but due to crew hassle I moved into a Phantom which I still have and will do some club and open meetings in its a great boat.
I wanted a bit more class racing banter etc so have bought a basic 400 which had sails with a red FD on the front. My club guys have been incredible generous hunting in garages and lofts finding there old style sails which are all better than was on the boat to try and help me be more competitive.
Every time I go to the boat something else has appeared.
I will be making a donation to our club recue boat fund as a thank you.
A really helpful gesture from a from a friendly fleet and club.
Now for a crew! Anybody got a spare one of those.

One of the things I love about sailing is that, on the whole, clubs and classes will do things like this. Good call to recognise it publicly.

Always good to have another boat to race against!
And what goes around, comes around. In a previous life I recall a chap called Gordon from LOSSC getting hold of some bargain 505 sails for me, when I was down the the road at Stokes Bay...

Blimey someone else has been around that long.
I had forgotten doing that.
