Am I the only person to be disappointed to see the loss of the Nacra 17 catamaran from the 2020 Olympics. It will be replaced by a foiling boat.

The current configuration with semi lifting foils is a bit of neither one thing or the other isn't it though. It wouldn't surprise me if such boats go extinct fairly early and catamaran classes polarise into either all foiling or else no lifting foils. At the current development situation a full foiling boat for the games is unlikely to be anything other than a catamaran.

Did I not read somewhere that the Nacra 17 will just be developed so that it can fully foil?
