Greetings All

I am doing 5 days of big boat sailing out of Portsmouth on the Solent and around the Isle of Wight in September

I don't venture down to the South Coast that often as its a long way from Yorkshire Dales, so I have never done any dinghy sailing in that area.

I have 3 days on the South Coast after my course so I wanted to do some dinghy sailing, so where should I go?

What are the must see spots for someone who has never sailed in the area before? (I like the thought of the national sailing centre at Weymouth etc??)

A couple of things to consider is that I am not planning on towing my Vareo down so will have to hire a single hander (probably a laser) locally.  But I will have my own car.

Probably going to be one of the weekend days plus two in the week

All advice greatly appreciated

OK so done a bit of googling and I can hire a laser from the Andrew Simpson sailing centre in Portland.

What about in the Portsmouth area? Does anyone know of a place in Hayling, Poole, Chichester or any other sailing area??

Does HISC do boat hire?
Chichester harbour is a must for visiting foreigners from north of the M27.

Not sure HISC will hire to non members but might be worth a call:

Can't you throw a Laser on top of the car?
