Hi all,

The RC44 Championships kicked off here in Malta yesterday with the first day having a series of match racing races between the 11 boats.    Yesterday was a fantastic Spring day with perfect sailing conditions.  The Valletta Harbour backdrop made the event even more spectacular.   Today there will be fleet racing along the coast.

I'm attaching a few of the (very many) photos I took yesterday to share with all of you.

weird things. Surprised they still seem to be a going concern- built as a "junior" AC fleet just as the AC hit the turbo button and turned into something else entirely

Built more as an exclusive little club for Russian oligarchs, and others involved in the petroleum industry. Oh, and as a way for RC to make some money off his address book.

Do find it slightly ridiculous that they don't fit proper kit for droop hiking.

at least they don't do the "assume the sea sick position" draping off lifelines thing, which has to be the all time most ridiculous way to perambulate around the water...
