| Well there is no cleat to flick out but if you pull to hard the sheet will come through the loop and tangle...need your cork lifejacket then! |

Not only that, but release using three strand laid manila? What was the top of the heap for rope, anyway? Flax? Manila? Hemp? Sisal? Cotton? Knowing canoes, probably silk?
