Mine;
1. Sell the D-One (through necessity, not choice, as it's possibly the most perfect boat I've ever had).
2. Transfer the weight currently held around my midriff to my shoulders, back and chest, enabling my somewhat diminutive stature (as compared to the Yoof) to not hold me back outrageously in a Finn (should I still feel it's a good boat for me to go in to once I've tried one properly.
3. Work so hard in the gym and on the tuning side of the sport that I can still give the Yoof a good race, and therefore still be of some use as a training partner.
4. Enjoy racing at Club (H'cap), Open (class), International events and others such as SailFest, and taking each for what it is.
5. Earn enough to do all of the above and relish the camaraderie, competition and friendships that come with them, whilst appreciating the opportunities to spend quality time with those that I hold dear.

Happy New Year to all Forumites 😎

Mine?

Grow my hair (can it really be too late)?
Eat more McDonalds.
Be brave when sailing (whilst still not falling in)
Continue to support the Byte class.
Guide my children through life.
Respect my wife (whilst maintaining a safe distance)
Learn to be tolerant of those obsessed with PY.

Sail more (and actually do some windsurfing this year as well as dinghys and yachts)
Actually do some praise rather than just race.
Use something like I-regatta whilst practicing to dial the down wind angles and see if footing off pays in various wind strengths
Get fit enough to hike hard for the entire race!

Keep working hard on diet and gym.
Enter and compete in a triathlon.
Reduce weight to 80kg.
Sail with my daughter more and enter the graduate nationals.
Perform well at zero nationals!
Sort my issue with starting out!

Try not to lose my first open meeting to Rupertson. V close this year, so not holding out much hope...

To do this, resolve to do more back exercises, lose half a stone by eating well and exercising, go sailing more.

Go yotting in some form or another.

Go dinghy cruising.

1) According to many pundits one of the most common resolutions is to reduce involvement with social media in its many forms .....   Sounds like a damn good idea - lets give it a proper go !
2) Try and get to the bottom of the 'Blaze question' .... our highly detailed and rigerous analysis in the snug end of the local club bar recently, and even after extensive 'back of fag packet' workings I may add, and contributions from many nearby 'experts' has revealed that just about 50% of the national fleet seem to regularly 'beat' the official class handicap.  This surely can't be right.  We can't work it out at all but are determined to get to the bottom of this one in 2015.
3) Rondar Icon .... Oh boy, it will be really that good, but needs all that new 'spare time' (see list item 1 above) in the next few months.  They might even sell it here in the UK now.  'Radio Silence' on details for a while longer first though.
4) Enjoy all of the above ... Keep on the water as much as possible and oh ...... do at least one decent 'Sailing Week' this Summer.
5) Keep reminding self about resolution number 1 !

1)Get our club slip lengthened a bit more
2)Send Sailboard Results into the RYA along with our yardstick with the aim of getting boards recognised after all these years.
3)Get a Ladies that Launch night going at our club.
4)Try and hold some more open meetings, we've got the Snipes coming but it would be nice to try and encourage some other class back to Hythe, like Contenders.
5)Build my boat
6)Maybe buy an Icon as well if Trev is fit.
7)Work on my own fitness, try and get this frozen shoulder moving a bit more
8)Do a couple more major events.

An ambitious list if I get even half of it done I'll be pleased.
