Time for a new wetsuit, can't defer any longer.
 The spec:
warm as toast 3mm to get me through the winter, I tend to go in padded bike shorts, shorts, rashy & aquafleece in the summer, much nicer.
Must have full length legs, preferrably padded.
Arms not required. I layer up on the torso.
Budget- 'sensible'

Why do they always itch? I wash mine out every time.

I got a Gul code zero long john a few years ago. I was amazed how warm dry and flexible it was , sadly the back side wore out quickly. I hope they have sorted out some reinforcement in the arse area, as it spoilt a great wet suit. For me I am now on a 4mm long john for the colder months ( magic marine) which is not as flexy as the Gull or dry but is warm and has an amazing back side. (I mean durable!)

Anyone tried the 'furnace lined' Billabongs?

O&B,

The 2014/15 model code zero has reinforced knees and bum, sealed seems and a thermal lining as Pastyman says.  The previous model didn't have any reinforcing on the bum or the thermal lining.

Tried one on today and could feel the leg seams.  I'm not sure the taping on the inside of the seams is as good a solution as the blind stitched and glued that NP and Zhik employ on their LJs.

But is a damn good suit for the money.

Good to hear that Gull have sorted the product out. I actually sent them an e mail telling them my experience with the suit ( great wet suit-shame about the arse), so maybe they listened to me ( but unfortunately I didnt get a replacemnt suit out of it!)

Ordered one, 85 quid, be here next week.
I wish to lodge a complaint about wetsuit size charts, they say I am too short for my girth.
