I was just looking at the results from this international event in Rio. There are so many names there that I recognise, names that seem to have been around for years. How old is Robert Schiedt? (or however it is spelt) and Nick Thompson must be steaming on a bit? It seems to me that Olympic sailors can survive three Olympics....that is 12 years at the top. If I was a 15 year old Olympic hopeful looking ahead I might  give up and go swimming.

And was 60 at the 88 Olympics.

So that's alright then - I'm officially too old to have to worry about trying to qualify for 2016
