Hi!

I am involved in a study at Loughborough University which is investigating bone health in Laser sailors. I am looking for male Laser or Laser Radial sailors aged 18-40 to take part in my study, who have sailed regularly in the Laser for at least a year.

The study involves a one off visit to a lab at Loughborough university lasting approximately one hour.

In return for participation you will receive a report containing lots of information regarding bone health, body composition and a breakdown of your dietary analysis.

Apologies for semi-spamming to advertise, this seems like one of the best places to contact sailors!

If you are interested in taking part or would like to find out some more information the please contact me: c.williamson-13@student.lboro.ac.uk

Thanks! Smile

when I sailed a L*ser a study of my diet would have revealed some worrying levels of pasties, chips and 6X , I really don't understand why I wasn't more successful, perhaps I've got "heavy bones" Wink

...seriously, good luck with the study, I can't help you but I'm sure others could and while I'm not sure of the relevance of such a "fading" class, at least you can extrapolate the results for when the D-Zero hits 150 boats at the nationals next year, IIRC, the hype confuses me :-)

Get in touch with the secrataries at Burton SC, Swarkestone SC and Staunton Harold SC to get directly to an audience likely to be in your catchment area.

Lol, 150... Lucky if there's 15! As for the study, it's for current Laser ssilors, so rules me out by 10 years.

Good luck Craig

Current Laser sailor... but I'm ruled out by 12 years.
Expect that you have already contacted the UKLA for help?
Good luck with your project.
