Sorry to go on about it, but I can't find the answers anywhere
Does any one have an acceptable PY number for the various versions?
Single handed...standard sail
Single handed...with jib
Double handed. with jib
I occasionally borrow a Club Pico
The new version, with the seemingly rather nice alloy rudder blade, seems unable to keep the blade fully down.
It very quickly kicks up perhaps 10-20 degrees and no manner of securing the downhaul seems to keep the blade fully down.
Am I doing something wrong?
Suggestions please
Thanks

I think the standard down haul on these rudders is a plastic clam cleat.  Change it for an alloy one with some decent line to bite into.

the same, but different...

The RYA don't seem to publish a PY for the doublehanded configuration.

Their latest spreadsheet says the Pico with rig "U" should use 1318. I believe that means no jib.

See the link to "2014 PN LIST" on right-hand side of this page: http://www.rya.org.uk/racing/Pages/portsmouthyardstick.aspx" rel="nofollow - www.rya.org.uk/racing/Pages/portsmouthyardstick.aspx

The Pico is a minefield. I bet half the time even the poor so and so doing a club's results doesn't know what variant was being sailed.
