Anyone know if there is an online source of stats like the paper version in the mag of the racing classes review, particularly how many of each class registered new in any year?

I don't know of any, and the racing classes review data itself has been getting very thin in recent years.

Probably something I should do to supplement http://www.yachtsandyachting.com/class/attendance.aspx" rel="nofollow - http://www.yachtsandyachting.com/class/attendance.aspx

As jimc says the data has become very thin / not credible over the years. I think many manufactures classes got the marketing department to complete the return rather than the factory ...

I don't believe the sail numbers of many classes have much of a link with the number of boats actually built.
