Hi All
What silly races are people attending over Christmas holiday.
I have decided to enter the Portsmouth SC Turkey race Christmas morning.
I am hoping to find a slip in the harbour Gosport side to launch from its a bit far from Lee or stokes for a short race.
Regards

I know not technically Christmas, but I might do the BM depending on forecast and other commitments.

Whitefriars has a Boxing Day Bottle race, usually a Pursuit to save all the calculating hassle at the end. Always good fun, silly hats a must. In fact, my Father in Law has just finished the Whisky I won a few years ago, so maybe I need to try harder this year!

There's a Boxing Day Snowflake Race at Hunts.  If I'm feeling really stupid/suicidal I may do it in the D1, otherwise I'll do it in the Vareo.

the same, but different...

New year's pursuit race at Bristol Corinthian normally gets a few visitors, although I haven't done it for a few years.

There's also a Lemons Hill Bridge race at Alton Water on New Year's Day, right up the length of the lake and back.  Hope to get to that one if possible.

Yes, it sounds a thoroughly miserable way to go sailing, no doubt there'll be no wind as well...   but in fairness it is a good opportunity to catch up with some people around this time of year and is slightly less frustrating than being sandwiched between Musto countrywear jackets and Prada handbags on the Docklands Light Railway to the Boat Show.
