Simple question, was your education state delivered (for free - e.g. grammar, high, secondary modern,) or did you go to an independent school (even if you had a grant to subsidise it)?

If you went to both, pick the one you spent longer at.

Does sailing have a higher proportion of privately educated people than the population at large? School type is as good a single indicator as there is, I reckon.

I know some of you will struggle to remember back that far. Clue - if you wear a body warmer you probably went to private school back in the day.
